Import of an aircraft engine

The engine was sent to Amsterdam by one of our esteemed partners. As an aircraft engine is seen as dangerous goods the engine had to be collected immediately after arrival at Amsterdam Airport to avoid high dangerous goods storage charges at the ground handler. Tight coordination between our operational department and trucking company was required to get this done.

As aircraft engines are installed & removed from aircrafts that operate on airside, which is international air space, the engine could keep it’s bonded status and import clearance was not needed.

When the engine was unloaded from the incoming flight and released by the ground handler our trucking company was on time to load the shipment without any dangerous goods storage. The shipment was loaded and successfully delivered to its consignee in Belgium.

For any out of the order shipment you feel difficulties with, feel free to check with our offices and we will provide you with the best possible solution!
